Federal Travel and Ethics

Course Description

This course will review common and uncommon situations related to travel and travel-related ethics for civilian Federal travelers. Attendees will benefit from a review of the Federal Travel Regulation, including a discussion of routing travel, premium class travel accomodations, attendance at conferences, and non-Federal source travel. Recent changes to Government-wide travel regulations will also be discussed.

FedMall Overview

Course Description

FedMall is an e-commerce ordering system for Department of Defense (DoD), Federal, State, and authorized local Agencies to search for and acquire products from government reserves and commercial sources. Buyers will have access to tens of millions of individual items of supply, from centrally managed DoD and General Service Administration (GSA) assets to commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products. This course will provide an overview of the benefits of FedMall and information on FedMall shopping, ordering, and research functionality. Including FedMall’s Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS) reporting capabilities. As well as how a shopper knows if they are: a) placing an order against a contract, b) placing an order against a Federal Supply Schedule, c) requisitioning from the supply system, or d) making an open market micro-purchase. What the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) data in FedMall means and how shoppers should use it.

Getting the Most Out of GSA eBuy and eBuy Open

This course will offer an overview of using GSA eBuy to create RFQs and RFIs, making awards in eBuy, and using eBuy Open for market research.

Making Informed, Cost Saving Travel Decisions and SmartPay Essentials

Course Description

GSA offers integrated services to manage Travel which includes the civilian E-Gov Travel Service (ETS), the Best-in-Class government-wide City Pair Program (CPP), and the Best-in-Class government-wide Lodging Contract powered by FedRooms and DOD Preferred. This training will provide an overview of each solution and will highlight the benefits and utility of using GSA’s Travel Programs.
