Do I need a form?
No forms are required for the state of Oregon, but you must display proof of federal employment. However, some cities require that federal government employees claiming the government exemption must provide to the lodging establishment an additional form:
- Portland: City of Portland Government Exemption Certificate along with the required supporting documentation to verify that they are both a federal government employee and that they are traveling on official federal government business.
- Salem: Transient Occupancy Tax Government Exemption Certificate
- Eugene: The federal government employee must provide an exemption certificate from their employer and pay with a government credit card.
