The purpose of this course is to provide valuable information to familiarize customers with certain aspects of the GSA SmartPay 3 Master Contract. Federal purchase card holders are required by law to give preference to biobased products in categories designated by USDA. Biobased products, made from plants and other renewable resources, support federal sustainability goals while contributing to the U.S. economy.  In this course, you will understand the statutory and Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements for biobased product purchasing; learn to identify biobased products that qualify for federal purchasing; and, use available resources such as AbilityOne, GSA Advantage!, FedMall, and local grocery and hardware stores to locate biobased products.
